Hello! Welcome to our class blog. As you share thoughts and pictures with me, I will also be submitting a post each week with my thoughts and pictures of my time in New Orleans! I love living here, and I hope that you all find as much joy and culture as I do with my city. I am sharing a picture that I took right after Hurricane Isaac ended. Hurricanes are a part of the fabric of this city. My boyfriend likes to say that it is how we cut our trees back! I think maybe this tree was ready to fall anyway, but it was still a big shock when we felt it fall down.
