TIGERS TAILGATE PARTY

It's a tradition in Louisiana and others states in the U.S to have tailgate parties before college football games. In this parties we can find people from everywhere, drinking, dancing, having barbecues and wearing shirts with the team's color. This tradition is part of the game, part of the football lover's culture. At LSU, Tiger fans have turned it into an art form. Over 2/3 of Tiger fans tailgate for 5 or more hours before every game. LSU encourages its fans to come to campus early and enjoy the great tradition of tailgating.

Fans take their tailgating food very seriously, you can find chicken or pork, sausage, jambalaya and even sea food. Of course beer and cocktails are part of this party.

This way to celebrate football games can't be found in other countries, maybe because football was invented in the U.S or maybe because people in the U.S just like to have a lot of fun at the same time that they are cheering their team.

I really enjoyed being part of this tradition in Baton Rouge and hopefully I will attend another tailgate party pretty soon!
